    Timms the communicator

Are you sure? Are we talking about the same Mr Timms, who allegedly doesn't deem it fit to answer questions from the JCHR or anybody else who challenges the legality of BN66?

    Definition of communication:
    1.
    a. The exchange of thoughts, messages, or information, as by speech, signals, writing, or behavior.
    b. Interpersonal rapport.

Don't know about you, but a labotomised mute could do better (allegedly of course)!

      Laugh, I nearly did.

HMRC have changed their draft charter. How many of these do you think
      have been followed recently?

'Your Rights’ - This summarises the nine expectations you can have of HMRC. That is to:

      1 Respect you
2 Help and support you to get things right
      3 Treat you as honest
      4 Treat you even-handedly
5 Be professional and act with integrity
6 Tackle people who deliberately break the rules and challenge those who bend the rules
7 Protect your information and respect your privacy
8 Accept that someone else can represent you
9 Do all we can to keep the cost of dealing with us as low as possible

A small plus is that point 6 has changed from this...

6 .. relentlessly pursue people who ‘bend’ the rules

Ah, but you notice this only goes up to 9. There is one missing.

10 Interpret the above as we see fit.

          You forgot ...

11 : Use our HMRC standard issue time machine to change rules and apply them to whenever the hell we like.

More likely they have one saying "Customer is to be crucified".

Now what odds would you give that the delayed consultation will
be farmed out to a consultancy?

I wonder if Ovum might be involved....

ooo I reckon there could be plenty of opportunity for Ovum to do some consultancy, somehow, be very interesting to see if they get involved...We could have a field day with that little nugget...

So will that £6 digital tax be retrospective dya reckon!

Looks like we are stuck with him. He is taking on the Comms post as a 2nd job.

Well it's not like he was busying writing responses to questions.
