Here's hoping we see an end to this nightmare...

Thank you very much to DR, Santa and those that have pushed our cause forward so very well. We all know this is a vile assault on our lives by an over-spent government via an incompetant and vindictive HMRC. I am sure it will not escape the judge's scrutiny that we have all acted honestly and have fully disclosed all details of the scheme sinces its inception. While I'm not a lawyer, I still struggle to see how HMRC's nasty BN66 attempts can ever be fobbed off as legal. Their arguments so far seem to lack all technical merit and it's especially sickening when they resort to quoting the plight of nurses and public services (especially their own, one suspects!!)

As for Jones, I suggest we don't discuss that little man at all on this forum.

So, good luck to you all. Like you, my family and I remain fingers crossed and ever hopeful that this state-funded treachery will be halted by Her Majesty's Judiciary.
Lord Clyde in 1929: ‘No man is under the smallest obligation, moral or other, so to arrange his legal relations to his business or to his property as to enable the Revenue to put the largest possible shovel into his stores. The Revenue is not slow to take every advantage which is open to it under the taxing statutes for the purpose of depleting the taxpayer’s pocket. And the taxpayer is entitled to be astute to prevent, so far as he honestly can, the depletion of his means by the Revenue.’

            The Long Wait

We've had our day in Court. So, now we have the wait for the Judge to deliver his verdict.

It took a long time to get this far, I suspect the next few weeks will feel even longer. Still, keep the faith. Our legal team presented extremely focused and professional arguments. We have the same judge that allowed our hearing in the first place so he must genuinely believe that we have a case for HMRC to answer. HMRC failed to defend the detailed arguments effectively trying to win the case through saying that Parliament had the right to do what they did.

Two very different approaches for the judge to consider.

Thanks to all, Santa, Sea Dog, DR and others for their reports.

I know it got asked before but does anyone know how the verdict gets delivered?

Hopefully he has got the message - this is no place for his private grievances.

                presumably we'll hear through MTM

Unless the verdict is available publicly through the courts website

I'm hoping it gets read out in Court - it should do, its public, like the hearing. If so I will attend. If it gets sent to MontP i don't suppose we would hear very quickly - its not like they are about to post it on the forum

                    The Ruling

It is usually delivered in open court. I will keep in contact with our legal team and make sure we get advance notice so people can attend to hear it handed down.

If you thought the JR itself was nerve-racking, that will definitely be a day for the immodium.
