Looks like the first on the list is for some kind of direction ie they will be over and done with in a few minutes - we had one of those at the last Hearing.

Shiner has been joined with Huitson but on cost grounds has agreed to be bound by the decision from our Hearing this week and will not attend. He has a separate ground for attack at a separate Hearing in the next month or two.

Parker is the same Judge, he had just been made up to an Appeal Court Justice (effective October 2009). This is good, he had an excellent grasp on the issues and kept Counsel focused on the legal issues.

At what time do these things finish each day??
Does a bell ring at 430 and everyone packs up and goes home?
Or does the judge just decide when he's had enough for the day?

                I shall be attending tomorrow.

I have been a long time lurker, but if it wasnt for this forum keeping me sane I think I would have lost the plot a long time ago !

                Well done everyone.

Its up to the Judge. Most business terminates around 4pm though. Its quite intense - 2 hours in morning and 2 hours in the afternoon is more than enough in my book!

Presumeable you can come and go as you please (i.e we don't have to arrive at a specific time to get in)?

PS. Google maps get the location wrong, they're here http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&...67%2C-0.113141

These cases are very focused. Plaintiff and defendant provided both each other and the Judge before Xmas with "skeleton arguments" together with supporting documentation in what is called a pre-trial bundle.

These outline the contentious areas which are then debated. 2 hours at a go is plenty for me!
