Apparently closure notices are only being sent out where HMRC have all the accounts from MP.

MP havent sent all the accounts for everyone who was on the scheme to HMRC yet.

I do wish HMRc would get on with their job instead of browsing this thread - then composing childish letters based on what we have said. And I am paying their wages!

I don't know where you heard this but it is not the case. HMRC have accounts for hundreds of people who have yet to receive CNs.

If you read the recent HMRC "newsletter", they confirm this:

We have received a large number of accounts but there are still some outstanding.

However for most people we do have accounts that agree with the tax returns...

MP have received 160 CNs. Not sure if that is actually 160 people ie about 10% or 160 CNs which might be only 3 or 4%. I've had 4 CNs. Don't want to be greedy, quite happy to sell one or two if anyone feels left out.

Update. Have been told it is 160 people receiving CNs, so 10%. (Thanks for PM)

IVe had all my CN's for all tax years. All been sent over to MP the day after I received them....lucky old me eh....

I have just heard that there are a couple missing - I guess BB is among them?

Reassuring

I'm sure it must be reassuring to others like me that we are not alone in having not received a CN. Of course, that doesn't mean it hasn't got lost in the post, particularly as the cheapskates send them out 2nd class.

I can understand them sending out general rubbish 2nd class but closure notices involving tens of thousands of pounds???
