      I was at the stage where I thought probably the only way to find a good accountant was by getting referrals. Now I'm not sure even that is necessarily going to produce a good result.

      Why is hiring people so hard???

        Referrals are good if you trust the people doing the referrals and they have an indication of what your requirements are.

        BTW my accountant's been referred to you.

                      That says Chartered OR Certified OR Chartered Tax Advisors.
                      Not a big issue but the 3 are quite different.
