    I didn't actually get an answer to the OP ...

    "what do accountants actually do on the company year end date for a one man ltd co.? Are there any statutory forms that they send in or is Contractor accounting simply a case of VAT + PAYE + Year end accounts 9 months after year end date ?"

    For example is there a VAT or PAYE year end submission that needs to be made a certain after company year end. If this is the case then I am better off waiting till after my company year end of 31st jan 2008 to ditch my accountants?

    Anyone ?
