    I never specify daily hours.

    If I did, the only concession towards daily hours would be to specify that under four hours is half a day; over that is a day.

    PCG standard contracts might have something.

      thanks for the comments folks. I have a standard contract through QDos insurances however they don't mention working day.

      I think i'll include the 4 hours clause, seems fair to me. I'll also need to think about overnight charges, a project has come up which they want me to work on which will involve a few nights a week spent at another site...

      Can I charge them for an overnight stay as an extra? All previous outsourcing companies I have charged for have given me a bonus for being away from home overnight, I assumed that bonus was charged back to the client?!
