I use payroo for mine (3 staff, 2 weekly paid 1 monthly paid, cycle to work scheme, auto enrolment for pension, payslips, rti etc etc) it's great and free!

I also have freeagent, but this does not do weekly pay unfortunately.

£30 per payslip. Jeez, does he wear a mask.

Freeagent payroll is a skoosh. Call Freeagent support and they'll help you set it up. Thereafter tiu can't really go wrong if you're halfway intelligent. You could then get by with a year end only service for finalising and filing your accounts and ct return. Probably about £400. But, add to that your £30 a month Freeagent licence you're getting up toward a monthly accounting fee. And that'll give you much more peace of mind i guess and an expert on hand all year round.

For just payroll & submissions, HMRC's basic PAYE software. It's free, easy to follow, and even runs on Linux.

Also if you opt for annual salary then you only need to run it once per year anyway. Simples.
