I cant comment on this particular agency but definately watch out for one called Skills Alliance. They post bogus ads on Jobserve, get contractors details and use them as leads for a tax consultancy called ASMG.

Trust me, skills alliance do not have contract work, so if ever called by them, know what to expect.

When I used to recruit staff in my permie role I used spencers a lot as they tend to take an interest in the client. I haven't got any real comments on them as regards sittign on the side of the fence as I haven't ever used an agency to get a gig.

We've done this one! In short, if the site tells the truth, then the agencies that you most need to read about will get their lawyers to close it down.

I've had them leave messages on my answerphone after picking up my details online. I've never returned any calls as they don't seem to check my skill set or living area very closely
