And when are the Arabs going to step in? Why do we always have to be world police? We are a small, third rate country and about time we started behaving as such.

Peeved off with the Syrian ex-pats behavior in London outside the Syrian Embassy but ditto for the recent Congo demonstrations so appears to be a price being paid for multiculturalism
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think
These Arab countries with islamic principles are better off governed by a dictator. The moment they get some independence they start fighting among themselves. Result ? decades of civil war with generations who know nothing but how to fight with a gun.

Agreed - democracy is a western invention, why try to impose it on others where a more tribal model may be more suitable?
