Adding a new shareholder - when must you report to CH?

I wanted to confirm the below when adding a new shareholder to a limited company.

What is the obligation to report the change to Companies House? When must this be done?

I can only find the following on an unofficial site - this suggests you can report the change within the next annual return?

“If any shareholders’ details change after company formation, or new shareholders join a company after incorporation, you must report this information to Companies House when you file your next annual return. There is no need to file an early annual return unless you would like this information to be updated on public record immediately.”

    That's right!

If you are adding a new shareholder, by transferring existing shares in the company... Then the change will only need to be reported on the next Annual Return.

If you are adding new shares in the company or reclassifying them, this will be shown at the time of the change on Companies House.
