Now i want more memory for running a VM that has windows doing it's thing. My client wont accept Macs, but will take a windows based VM (odd, i know!). Plus from a compatibility world, having easy close access to Windows, Office 2010, MS Project & Visio, really does make life easier.I didn't say it was your ******* fault, I said I was blaming you!Comment

I use a MBP with 8GB running a Win7 VM via Parallels 7 as my Visual Studio 2010/SQL Server/Graphics development platform.Originally posted by scooby View PostNow i want more memory for running a VM that has windows doing it's thing.
Runs absolutely perfectly, no different to a native Windows machine. Thats allocating 2.5GB and 2 cores to Windows (a VM requires less memory than a native install would). The host OSX also runs beautifully when the VM is active.Comment

Let us know, I never thought of upgrading my MacBook but as it only has 2Gb this could be a big win. What generation/spec is yours?Originally posted by scooby View PostGoogle and Amazon reviews say that it works great, so just ordered 16gb (2x8gb) to delivered tomorrow AM.
proof will be in the trying...
Also - how do I tell if my MacBook is running 32/64 bit? Did OSX become 64bit only when they switched to Intel?Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment
