d000hg I have just taken 4gb of memory out of my MacBook Pro as I have upgraded to 8gb, if you pay the postage you can have it for nothing.

I'd gladly take you up on that if I can save us both the time by checking it's likely to be compatible... do you know the specs?
On Crucial, they say I need 204-pin SODIMM DDR3 which runs at 1.5V (they mention PC3-8500). Any idea what yours is? If it might be compatible I'm happy to try it and if no good, sell it and send you/donate to charity the proceeds minus my postage.

Except I bought the memory on a Saturday afternoon so had to wait until the Monday to acquire the small screwdriver.
Where did you get the screwdriver from?

This is what i bought: All-Purpose Screwdriver Bit Set 100Pc | Screwfix.com but i needed the torque set to take apart my PS3 to replace the drive...

B&Q do a set of "technical" screwdrivers for under a £5 which are perfect and you dont need to source the remainder of the screwdriver to use the bits above.
I didn't say it was your ******* fault, I said I was blaming you!

Any generic watch makers tool kit will work, they aren't torx or anything funky like that

According to NLUK Google it is 1.5v and PC3-8500 http://www.hynix.com/datasheet/eng/m...nuNo=1&m=1&s=1

Erm, yes honest. New memory was delivered to the office and installed straight away, old modules were stuck in a drawer

That sounds virtually identical. If you're still up for it you can PM me or email <myhandle> on gmail. For the sake of £3-5 P&P I'm quite happy to PayPal you first or something on trust You can even send a paypal bill directly to my d000hg gmail address if you want.
