Is the snow causing transportation problems and resultant food (sausage) shortages ?

I wonder if Halifax is snowed in yet - Apparently there's only one way out, via a roundabout, and when that is closed they're literally stuck in the place!

You might consider getting some good tyres if you're working up here over the winter.

              Where/what are you working?

              ps: just started again

Ah I am just around the corner from UHND so not far... walked it into the city this afternoon - it was fun and scenic walk. The Cathedral looked great in the snow and with snow falling it was very christmassy. There were some carol singers in the square too and snow falling - made the xmas tree look chic.

There is no way I can get out of the side street as even the taxi driver refused to drop me off outside my place - so looks like mid week before I have hope of shifting the car... grrr. I want to get some good tyres put on but moving the car in order to get to a garage in first priority. Went to Varsity for a few brandies and watched Nadal knock out Murray and NZ beat Wales. I was going to heed back to the cathedral for christmas carols but walking up the bank which was ungritted - I thought give it a miss! Went to Tesco instead picked up some supplies but no milk (they had completely run out) I'll just have to make do.... hey ho.

I work across the North East - so I get to see lots of nice haunts but think Durham is the best commuter location out of them all. Working as a programme manager in Social Care/Health which is def a priority in the region. An area I've worked in for 5+ years its def not a city desk base job.

If it seriously stops you getting your day-rate, look at hiring a car. I know there are companies who drop the rental off at your address, can't name names though... or maybe bus/train's an option. Luckily I work at home

ps: seriously, Varsity?! Though I guess if you want sport, options are a bit limited.

Finally some snow. Well about 1/2 an inch.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.
