Unless you have Sat, the TV will have life expired before anyone transmits an HD signal for you to display on it.

"They all still appear to be rubbish to me, I have a quick look in Comet now and then, good picture for 200 quid, big rubbish picture for 4 times the price !?"

I have to agree with that comment, but I suspect most of this is down to comet supplying the TV with a crap feed. I was in the sony shop a while ago and the images their TV's were showing was brilliant. They had a TV showing scenes from Sky Sports HD and it was really sharp.

I'm trying to hold off buying one at the moment and while I do I'll let the price continue to fall.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

        I preferred version 1!

my new kitchen cost £3k. Mind you I did fit it myself and the appliances were graded. Still it looks as good as any MFI kitchen and I learnt a lot too.

Back off-topic, but an alternative to that 42" plasma is this:

                  http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...125933&_LOC=UK

If you want a cheap 42" LCD instead.

One of mates gave me stick the other day after I had a kitchen discussion with his wife. He leaves it to her and doesn't understand where all his money goes, he'll end up with a useless plasma screen if he's not careful.
