Windows networking / PC issue

I've come to the conclusion that the driver for the Atheros wireless built into the Acer Aspire R3600 is not working 100% under Windows 7.

Hopefully a proper Windows 7 driver will be released soon and it will be able to cope with more than 1 mbit bandwidth.

Googling shows lots of angry people with an Atheros wireless and slow connections.

I have the same setup (including a 54MBps router). I didn't run a speed test but I get the usual 10MBps download speeds I get on my desktop. Windows 7 installed a wireless driver for it when it was set up initially and despite quite a weak signal there is no problem. I used the Action Pack Windows 7 DVD to install.
