Just watched the BBC 4 programme about Ada Lovelace from last night. Excellent stuff, including an appearance by Sydney Padua, creator of The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage

I highly recommend that book, by the way - as well as it being very amusing, it's not often one encounters a comic graphic novel that's been so thoroughly researched that each chapter not only has footnotes with extensive quotations from original sources, but furthermore has footnotes to the footnotes

Morning denizens

Sunny with fluffiness today. No rain forecast, yet

Morning. Pleasant sunny morning in Hampshire.

Afternoon all.

The washing is on.

Lunch has been consumed.

Once the 4 loads of the apocalypse have been done, it's time for lawn mowing.

The joy of my life is endless.

Need to go shopping. On a Saturday. Urgh

[NickFitz]

Apparently the rugby types are at home today. Might be able to get the shopping done in the gap between people going there and then leaving again.

Thanks, I hadn't spotted that, being too, er, tied up, er, with "Catweazle", as it were.

Sounds like an ideal prog for lunchtime viewing next week.

Better their bandwidth and download limits than mine.

Washing machine is playing up.

Memo to self: one sheet at a time from now on, it's wearing out fast.

Ho hum.

The ZeitWaterPump(LeakyWashingMachine)(tm) seems to be working well.

It's busily bubbling away out there now.

Already pumped a couple of pints.

Washed the socks by hand.

To reduce the load.
