Ha, I'm trying to remember the last time I ever had a problem with a project. Oooh, never (apart from the one time where there was a PM/BA/whatever was involved.) Just out of interest WTF is the RAID log you have to write in? AFAIK, only DASD and associated hardware would write to that, and what is this grid, are you in the Matrix perchance? Ever heard of the KISS principle?

Yep and I'm sure Suity has to. However, once things are overly complex actually trying simplify them fails the KISS test so its easier just to find the minimum interference approach and hope it works.

Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies log. Not Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks.

Every project larger than a desk move has one, these days. HTH. SLYNI.

              I was merely asking.

What have I done to be called a numpty incompetent?

I think you've anly shown your own incompetence here, which given the barrel of fish and rack of guns on offer is quite a feat
