Work in the public sector? Read the IR35 FAQ here -
strangely we have some in Slough
Friday afternoon traffic round the entire area is abysmal.
The tile shop two rows down might as well shut up shop on a Friday afternoon.
The main reason is it makes clear the sheer scale of immigration and the fact that the mosque will allegedly grow in size (aggressively and without planning consent) and parking from the start will be woefully inadequate.
The Sikh / Hindu temples however seem to just fit in and have enough parking, not sure why.Comment

Heavily residential area just off a very congested main road with zero off-street parking to cater for the full contingent of 140 worshippers every Friday. That's why I had a problem with it.
Plus those closer to it than me surely wouldn't have enjoyed frequent comings and goings between 4am and 11pm every day.
Then it was an inappropriate application. But there are plenty that get protests just because it's a mosque.Comment

I say 'perceived' as that is certainly my own perception, but not being an expert on the matter, my perceptions are all I have.Comment

I've been round a couple of mosques - I phoned them up and asked if I could come and talk to them. They were very helpful and accommodating and answered all of questions.
Mind you, that's my experience of mosques in Stockport and Manchester, so not a representative sample of the whole of the UK.Comment

Unfortunately, with an estimated 1.6bn Muslims worldwide, those few can still be a pretty big number.Last edited by captainham; 6 December 2012, 10:42.Comment
