        I'm sure Natwest won't worry about losing some of their retail banking customers due to this, means they can close a few NW branches that are close to halifax branches

            I really do suspect they have lost some incoming transaction information from the whole bank system during the period between upgrade and rollback. Why would it take this amount of time to update the balances meant to be in accounts if it was all fixed?

            Bob is probably parsing a 20 gig log file for sort codes, account numbers & amounts as we speak.
