Mine seems to be back to normal now, can go into payment section and moving some money seems to have worked.

The Dutch are now getting the offshore treatment - exactly the same messages of condolence to staff over there losing out as RBS staff got last year. Cut and pasted!

Their latest wheeze is a Polish hub in Warsaw. The job specs are not at all demanding as you can see on the rbs.com website.

That's less important than the Indian dimension but maybe indicates all is not going to plan further east. Anyhow, it proves they are demented and relentless in clearing out the UK.

Been working with a number offshore countries in the last few years and I have always been quite critical of the UK's education system but I take that back now.

If that's the case it will award itself a huge bonus too

I'm far too obscure sometimes, and it ruins the moment when I have to explain

                Redundant

(ri-dun´d&nt) (adj.) Used to describe a component of a computer or network system that is used to guard the primary system from failure by acting as a back up system. Redundant components can include both hardware elements of a system -- such as disk drives, peripherals, servers, switches, routers -- and software elements -- such as operating systems, applications and databases.

Redundancy is the quality of systems or elements of a system that are backed up with secondary resources. For example, "The network has redundancy.".............................it didn't

Offshore resource works well if you document your requirements in enough detail up front. Yes it's tedious. Yes it seems unnecessary. But it works.

Presented two documents and a project plan to clientco last week. They're not bobs. Theyre chilled out Californians. Surf bums. All very clever types. But without process and requirements they're all over the place. When we went through them last week they just went 'wow this is detailed and very exact. Never seen a spec this detailed'.

'Yep. But then again you've never used offshore resource before' was my reply.

And what kind of resource you are?

It seems to depend on the age of the people you are employing.

Though you can be lucky and get the more mature younger person.
