I haven't much experience of European cities, but from what little I do have, antisocial behaviour does seem less to non-existent. Is it a British phenomenon? They also seem to be able to leave their bikes out at night, which is a sight to behold.
Doesn't apply to Amsterdam.

Nearly all of the perceived problems with the UK, from "entitled" benefit scroungers to fat cat directors to inconsiderate cyclists boils down to the same problem, which is people behaving inconsiderately towards each other. There are a lot of tossers in the UK. I didn't say there weren't any tossers anywhere else. France is full of them, for example.

I find people generally polite, when they're not in their bubbles (headphones, cars etc.)
It takes a tosser to know one though
