The investigator has not yet told him of the specific charges or questions related to the scientific integrity of his work
Neither is the scientist in question.
the investigation will likely fuel the ongoing fight between climate change activists and those who are sceptical of scientists' findings
Completely unconnected, suggestive reporting.
they were conducting an aerial survey of bowhead whales, and saw four dead polar bears floating in the water after a storm. They detailed their observations in an article
OK, so some polar bears appear to have drowned. The researchers (biologists doing biology research) didn´t suggest it´s caused by AGW.
They said their observations suggested the bears drowned in rough seas and high winds. They also added that the findings "suggest that drowning-related deaths of polar bears may increase in the future if the observed trend of regression of pack ice and/or longer open water periods continues."
Well, pack ice IS regressing and open water periods HAVE BEEN getting longer in observed areas. The biologists in question DID NOT assert that this was caused by so-called AGW. They simply said, in Simpletonese (which is obviously the world's first language), that IF pack ice continues to recede AND polar bears have to swim longer distances, it's possible that more polar bears will drown.
I'm disappointed that educated people can't read such an article critically and see through the propaganda. I'm not saying anything about people who do or don't believe in anthropomophic climate change, but I would think that people who have had a higher level of education or work at that level would be able to analyse the article and spot the deceptions.
Very disappointing indeed.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014
As the inactivists have comprehensively lost the argument they are resulting to increasingly desparate tactics, such as harrassment by bogus fishing expeditions. The biologist being investigated has not been informed of the 'offence' so we have no idea whether it relates to his polar bear work, still
The Polar Bear population is still rising. Apparently scientists who are now out of work for failing to brainwash the public into believing that the world is getting warmer because of CO2 emmissions, and thus failing to give socialists another excuse to screw and waste money from hard working people, have turned their hand to teaching wildlife to swim. Looks like they will be back on the jobs market soon. I dont care what they do or how incompetent they are 20% of salary is still good enough for me.
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone
Are we really using 5/10 year type graphs to show global warming, like that shows anything significant?
Throw a few hundred year old graphs up, let's compare, c'mon boys - get a googling.
you should be grateful for small mercies. Their favourite trick to to produce a tree-ring series based on one tree that was otherwise used as a mooses lavatory
and they never explain why the poor old polar bear cant survive this .1 degree of warming when they managed to survive previous, truly warm periods.
the bears may face difficulties, human caused no doubt, but runaway global warming of .1 degree is not one of them

Thats nothing. I was reading about some place in Australia where the town planners insist that all new houses are built on ten foot stilts to avoid rising sea levels.
People actually fall for this madness and its affecting lives
That's what we should do in this country - It would make great off-street parking (or more garden space for greenies, and God knows we'll need that one day if the population keeps rising!)
Also, at night you could pull up the drawbridge and not worry much about burglars.
