Snow!

Not had any snow for a couple of days but currently -10, fog on the way and more snow tomorrow.

Just looks a little better, just before it freezes tonight...

We went to our local for a few beers and a sausage and mash - not that bad on the roads, just not happy walking on the pavements.

Hoping South of Sheffield will soon be linked to the rest of the country...

Mm, most proper roads clear or a bit of thin slush. Pavements, the majority of the town centre in fact, has deep snow. Mostly still 'dry' and very powdery. Where it's been cleared, it's lining the shopping streets in piles several feet high. Walking about even in boots is to slip about like climbing up a sand-dune. Tiring.

The mercury is sitting exactly at -10 this morning, it feels it too. Found an ice cube under the duvet, oh aye what's this? Threw it in the fire and it went Paaarrp

It was -9.5 on the drive in this morning. Freezing fog and ice but no snow

I knew I'd seen them before somewhere.

-11 on my drive to work. Same problem as Clippy (I think) with windscreen freezing over and being blinded while driving down the M6 toll. Not fun.

I am in a island of snowlessness. Even the local news was showing snow reports all around. It has been relentlessly cold though, so the worst of both worlds, frost on the ground left a week ago still hasn't melted.

The usual lack of cooperation between county authorities. Some A roads left unploughed and un-gritted and once into the next county the road is clear. Quite a few abandoned cars and the odd HGV being recovered.

Went for a run this morning. Good fun.

The rhododendron walk in Pollok Park looks like heaven when you are running through it.
