What practical example of socialism have you seen that actually works. In terms of a practical way of helping one another socialism is left trailing by capitalism.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone -
Socialism has a much longer track record than capitalism.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostWhat practical example of socialism have you seen that actually works. In terms of a practical way of helping one another socialism is left trailing by capitalism.
Socialism that works, sure Sweden: High taxes, excellent services for all.

I don't agree with the huge amount of money Billy Bragg has made over the years by singing piss poor songs about equality while sitting on a personal fortune. On that basis I'm going ta ask HMRC to get Billy Bragg to pay my taxes.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.
I preferred version 1!Comment

I'd still rather listen to Billy Bragg than Abba though.Originally posted by TonyEnglish View PostI don't agree with the huge amount of money Billy Bragg has made over the years by singing piss poor songs about equality while sitting on a personal fortune. only some of them are - the ones who con the others into believe their hype are the good ones, the rest are busy convincing themselves they have created something out of nothing as well.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostHas it not occured to you that these bankers happen to be very good at what they do
There was something in the papers at the weekend about how bankers were naive to believe house prices could only go in one direction. This default font is sooooooooooooo boring and so are short usernamesComment

You mean that they can't. Bugger. Next you'll be telling us how Super Gordon didn't get rid of the bust part out of Boom and Bust!Originally posted by MPwannadecentincome View PostThere was something in the papers at the weekend about how bankers were naive to believe house prices could only go in one direction.Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

Socialism creates no wealth whatsoever. It is the dynamics of capitalism that create the wealth and the dynamics of socialism that redistribute the wealth.Originally posted by BlackenedBiker View PostSocialism has a much longer track record than capitalism.

In almost all cases wealth redistribution is carried out inefficiently and ineffectively. In Sweden where the population is low and is devoid of cultural mixes the redistribution bit is slightly less inefficient than other parts of the world. I have not however heard anyone express any preference to living there as opposed to here.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

Of course socialism creates wealth it is just interested in distributing it as well.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostSocialism creates no wealth whatsoever. It is the dynamics of capitalism that create the wealth and the dynamics of socialism that redistribute the wealth.

Every system has inefficiencies, however I will not believe that just because we do not achieve 100p value in the pound that we should stop trying to help those who are less than able to help themselves.Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.
