This thread is dedicated to those on a good contract rate with no sign of it being canned, or those on a tracker mortgage with no collar or mortgage fully paid off, or those shagging gorgeous women and buying expensive things to sneer at the less fortunate and brim over with smugness at the failures in life.

Working 20 minutes from home. Decent-ish rate. Extended to July 09 recently. Phase 2 of job, if it is given go ahead in July/August, will run for ~2 years. Mortgage will be paid off 25th January.

Smug? Nah.................

New gig close to home with slight increase & turned down other offer. All done over Xmas with just phone interview.

Oh, and mortgage paid off 5 yrs ago. Beautiful family etc. etc.

I've done it now - something seriously tulip is on its way....
