I think the USA should relocate israel to cuba, this would surely solve
all the problems in the middle east plus it would get rid of

You're wrong. This thread started purely on the subject of the Israeli retaliation. It was not started about anything else.

So of course it's very simple. If they weren't firing rockets every day, they wouldn't have been retaliated against, those civilians would still be alive, and there would be no thread.

If you try to compartmentalise the whole Israel/palestine question into little pieces then you might feel you are simplifying matters. However, that would be to miss the whole backdrop in this instance, and that would be missing the fundamental point entirely. The israelis have been subjugating the palestinians systematically for years. The Hamas rocket attacks are only the latest in a long line of rather pointless retaliatory actions by the palestinians.

Absolutely correct !! Hamas announced last week they would not adhere to the peace treaty with Israel , and so they are reaping the rewards of their own stupidity.

It seems to me that Israelies mainly want to avoid being shelled by rockets and mortar shells, not being suicide bombed and stuff like that - pretty reasonable desire in my view.

So I think we have came full circle back to the very first point I made, you drop bombs on them, they will drop bombs on you.
