But, since it was a phone interview, are you certain he yawned? You didn't see him, so how can you be sure? He might have breathing difficulties, there might have been someone else in the room with him.
Unless he said "Sorry I yawned there", then don't immediately assume the sound was a yawn.

Reporting a permie as VP level for yawning in an interview? Seems fair feedback to me especially if it was remotely true.

Good point, I didnt see it from the permie perspective. I just know when I interview people that have taken the time out to be available I would think it incredibly impolite to yawn. I would have apologized and given a reason.
