The only reason they would form a grand coalition is to block the MPs voted for by the Scottish electorate from participating in the UK government. In that case we would be better going independent.

If you honestly think (truly, not just as a forum troll) deep in your heart that Scottish independence is a great idea then you need to put your brain care specialist on alert.

There are brutal realities not the least of which is that Scotland would have to apply to join the EU which could easily be veto'd by countries with regions that would love to break away and if they did join then the entry requirements would be onerous at best. Then there's currency, government, institutions the reality of a population used to the support of the rest of the UK, companies leaving that want to be in the UK, endless list of stuff which in truth would take decades to resolve and during transition would cause utter chaos.

For that matter would you REALLY honestly want a permanent socialist Government? There's no prospect of more right of center politics taking off in the land of haggis and jimmy wigs!
