Android seems perfectly happy running on the HD2, only issue is that I cannot download paid apps from the market, it just gives me "an error has occurred " message
Can you download them on a PC and then have them sent to your phone that way?

Alternatively, something like Android PIT might work as a workaround - not sure if they have everything in the market, but the have sometimes got things that aren't in the market (like games / cheats for games)

Sell it, I think mazoomo (or whatever they're called) are paying £100+ for a desire z.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

I considered that, but I like to have a decent spare in case anything happens to the new one.

When the Desire went screwy, I had to go back to my G1 which was a shock to the system.
