I'm sure there are, but as this is a contractors' board you're asking the wrong people. In any case, for £20k pa at London Bridge, you will not get a Delphi programmer from anywhere except India.
Or is your client angling to get someone in from India and has commissioned you so that they can say they advertised the job domestically but got no takers so they can bring someone in cheap to satisfy a skills shortage?
You'd never get anyone from India to come here for £20,000. They'd work from there for that though.
Now look what you bunch of moronic social inbreds have done poor poor Emma has been scared off, you bunch of fools, that is the first lady we have had on these boards for a number of years!! lol
i have tried to get onto permiesuk - but i cant seem to find the URL for it unfortunately.
re: the delphi position - i guess my client wants a junior bod to do this at the 20k level but it is proving difficult so if any of you know any senior delphi guys who may work in a team with junior people let me know and i will call them

May as well come clean, Emma. Surely your client is just trying to justify an Indian work permit by saying they advertised domestically but couldn't get anyone? The only person you might get to commute to London Bridge for £20k pa is someone with zero commercial experience straight out of university and I would say even that is doubtful.
I think cold calling senior Delphi bods and trying to poach their juniors will not work either. Best you are just honest with your client and tell them they are not being realistic with their remuneration.
well i have spoken to my client, and told them this but they will not listen!! i have had one guy interview for the position who had 5 yrs delphi exp but they didnt like him!
