      Looking at Logitech and Creative on eBay.

      May buy a pair of Creative T20s from Argos for £68, try 'em then take 'em back and search for a second-hand pair....!

        Decided on the JBL Creatures but looking for a second hand pair. Keep getting outbid on eBay and looking via gumtree.com.

        Heard them in Micro Anvika and they sounded good for bass and had good treble/midrange.

          I was going to suggest these but as you mentioned in your original post you did not want a sub woofer, I didn't.

          At the time, I think the cheapest price I'd seen them in store was about £60.

          I bought a brand new pair of JBL Creature II's on eBay last July for £41 and can recommend them.

              I've found a second-hand pair on eBay for £35, postage included. The subwoofer is a compromise I'm sure I can live with.
