For those interested, the beta of the Google Chrome browser is due to be released today.

Some interesting implications for Firefox perhaps, given the support afforded to Mozilla by Google?

The design seems to be fairly intelligent; should block off several attack vectors too. I'm gonna give it a go.

It's based upon the Webkit rendering engine, also used in Safari and Konqueror.

Well, the beta download page has been appearing in search results for 14hrs so far, but redirects to Google's default.

I think that site might be biased...

Anyhow "not for profit" doesn't mean it can't make money or that it's staffed by volunteers...
