Saw this on the news this morning. First impression - "Fannies, another browser to have to test sites in, like we haven't got enough already "

Certainly will be downloading this evening and having a look though.

Anyhow "not for profit" doesn't mean it can't make money or that it's staffed by volunteers...

As it uses WebKit, the rendering aspects should be the same as Safari. Hopefully they won't have introduced any egregious differences in their new JavaScript engine.

Downloading now. Not that I need another browser on my system, but I feel duty bound to try it
Where are we going? And what’s with this hand basket?

Apparently Google were forced into the Chrome announcement.

Some idiot at Google clicked the send button, but didn't mean to, at least for another week or so

Blimey, that didn't take long. Now I'm posting with Chrome

Running it now. First impression is good - it's certainly quick. Only drawback I've encountered so far is there's no ad-blocker (at least not one I've found yet).

                      No ad-blocker eh?

Well, Google are primarily a marketing company after all.
