I thought that was normal - seeing as there are two DVD recording standards?

Gotcha, to be honest all of this DVD recording has passed me by. Considering getting a freeview sky+ pvr type thing but I have that capability on my Mac already - which makes it easier to transfer to the ipod for watching on the tube/plane.
