    :banana: Start later this week. The gig was supposed to be based in the Manchester office, but in return for shaving a little bit off my rate they're going to let me work from their local office, about fifteen minutes walk from home :D

    I've just signed a contract to end-of-year with a former client, working flexibly and mostly from home, at (just) my highest rate to date. In addition, Mrs. d000hg yesterday got offered a job at the most highly rated early-years school in the region... literally the job she would have chosen...

    Five offers of contract work today

    That was odd. The market has been terrible for years and then five offers of well paid work in a day. No shiny contract yet so won't be saying the 'B' word yet.

    Just been offered a 12 month contract with a former client. Less than 5 miles from home - It'll look very good on my CV. Good rate... Some European travel... I'm quite happy!!!!! Tone

    I went for an interview at BarCap yesterday for a 6 week role........They are making me an offer - the offer is more than my pre rate cut rate at JP Morgan and it's morphed into a 6 month role :banana:

    Three month extension at Client Co, starting at Christmas. Was offered more as the programme will run and run, but happy to stick wth three months for the moment. Is the closest available banking client to where I live, so happy with it !

    Had an interview Thursday, found out on the way back from interview with another client today that client number one has offered a 4 month role with probable extension and beyond in the New Year. Very good money too! Just waiting until Monday now for result of interview with client number two...
