WHS - At the weekend I sometimes watch the headlines on the hour, which takes all of 30 seconds; given the chronically dumbed down state of TV these days though, anything more is a load of superfluous worthless waffle.

I do read the Economist in the bath though - Seems to take forever sometimes

When UKIP don't win a single seat it will prove how bad the current voting system is.

And who cares who you vote for - Labour or Conservatives will win and their policies are identical.

A great pity it has taken a twunt like Farage to bring Immigration onto the agenda. The only growth industries in this country are driven by credit(especially house prices) and immigration. And immigration has only benefited the rich - the vast majority of people are worse off.

Did you know you can be against immigration and not be a racist?

          Vote UKIP!
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

            Or how good it is.

LibDems seem to have gone a bit quiet on the issue of PR.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Are they worried the public might think it stands for Paedo Representation ?

The Lib Dem method they had in the referendum was very flawed but I'd like a system that delivered real PR. Policies that are supported by the majority and go with gut instincts are more likely to work than the crap from the self servers and educated idealists who can afford not to live with the problems that their policies inflict on ordinary people. Our current system, with all the undue influence that those in marginal seats have, is appalling.

Also a written constitution that guaranteed certain things such as a secular principles for society and freedom of choice unless there was a soundly based reason to limit it for the common good and Swiss style referenda that could force parties to properly take account of public opinion on any issue.
