We can't always go on avatar's, but for the record that is me in the picOriginally posted by Stevie Wonder BoyI can't see any way to do it can you please advise?

Or post a picture up, it worked for whats her nameOriginally posted by SueEllen View PostNope there isn't.
On this forum there are posters who aren't the gender you think they are. Some of this is due to their user name and with others it's due to their style of writing.
If you just keep correcting posters without throwing a tantrum they will soon learn you are female.
Oh and all internet forums have abbreviations. HTH

+1. I know Simon's rate. Apart from jesting about buying the 1st round its irrelevant even if he did the same thing I do (he doesn't by the way).Originally posted by SimonMac View PostW(H/S)S
Eek knows my rate and mentions it is more than his, (I didn't think he would be working here when I told him it), I have no desire to find out his or anyone else's as what I charge I am happy with
I quoted a rate got the contract and 2 subsequent shortish renewals. If someone earns more than me or less than me, meh its their problem not mine....merely at clientco for the entertainmentComment

As others have said, meh.Originally posted by rd409 View PostOptions are, I could just stove one on his face, but then I would have to disclose my rate as well, and not many people round here appreciate high paid contractors. Or should I just be laughing in my head when he speaks about this in future, or should I go with all guns blazing?
This contract, I know that I'm on less than one of the other techies, and more than one of the functional guys. I agreed the rate at the maximum that I could get without it needing to be approved from other people higher up at the client.
Couple of contracts ago, one of the permies let slip how much one of the other guys was on and how expensive he was. My rate was significantly higher than the other guy, so I kept quiet. That said, he was crap and I'm ace.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI hadn't really understood this 'pwned' expression until I read DirtyDog's post.Comment

Just found the complete story; the client is billed at the same rate. So his agent is on quite a substantial cut. Now comes the ethical dilemma, Should I tell him? I guess not

Keep quiet about your rate or even better complain to him about how poor you are. That way you can get him to pay for the drinks

I'm still so naive when it comes to forums. If someone has a gender specific name and avatar I have assumed that is their gender - another lesson learned from my 2 day induction on CUK
