Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

Bunch of fooking idiots. Why the fook should I only be allocated 227 shares? They should have stiffed the folk who jumped on the bandwagon who know fook all about it, and allocated on a quasi-first-come-first-served basis. Morons.

Because otherwise you'd have ended up with none

It don't recall such an obvious one-way bet since the last government privatisation. There are some awkward questions for the Tories now, and rightly so.

That said, 450p has a touch of irrational exuberance about it.

Because 100,000 people with 227 shares, if half of them sell because its not worth keeping a hold of them thats an extra £12.5m into the economy, and the govt have a bit of good will from the public, the majority of the shares was always going to the city, who do you think bought all those shares that small investors sold and are still queueing up to by at 450p

You won't get the money back until the 15th at the earliest when the full listing is finished

So how am I supposed to sell when the HL website is off limits and their phone lines are jammed? They won't even let me login to my account

                    Gotta laugh.

This is the biggest letdown since Atw said he would take on Google in search engine technology in 2003.

Basically this was a gift to the big banks, and a few crumbs to normal investors.
