Bought a Motorola Xoom and quite happy with it but way overpriced and I should have waited for a bit.

It got better when I installed the US image which made it a true Google Experience Device so timely OS updates rather than waiting months for Motorola to release updates.

Is it useful? Sometimes handy to get email on the move, SSH to the servers I look after and browse, Kindle and some frippery apps but nothing I can't do on my phone, netbook and laptop.

Would I buy another tablet? No.

He's wasn't excluding people who don't want to tinker around and I'd guess that about 99% of android owners don't.

But if you DO want to tinker around with the OS then android is the only real option

If you want 3g then iPad, if not then Asus Transformer Prime or the new Asus TF300 if you're flush.

                  I've got a Prime and it's fab.

Like previous posters have said the Nexus 7 rocks, who needs 3G when you can tether it to you phone without the need for an additional SIM/Contract.
