Here's my app list:Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostAny good free android apps/widgets? I'm only doing free at the moment, but I suppose really good paid-for ones might be of interest too.

GPS test - shows satellites being locked on
 Wifi analyser - nice graphs
 Skype
 Winamp
Google Earth, and Sky. Amazing to turn you device to the heavens and see the stars or planets shwon on-screen, runs off-line too
Osmand, Locus Free, MapDroyd - All for off-line mapping use, pros and cons to each. Google Maps off-line is still in the Labs stage and their cached maps disappear or don't work for me after about a day, otherwise would have sufficed.
Sleep Time. So I can go to sleep watching or listening to something.
 Offline dictionaries
920 & Joto text editors, & Android Web editor. Not used any of them yet.
 Adobe reader
Barcode Scanner. A bit of fun. Works though.

Games for planes: Super Sudoku, Solitaire, Air Control Lite, Four in a Line Free, Angry birds, Defender.

Most of my apps work off-line as my smartphone isn't a phone.

Which browser do you use? I've got Dolphin and Firefox installed, but mainly use the installed one by default. No idea what it is.

And what about the dizzying array of social networky things available, Google Chat, Social Hub, Talk... what seems like an endless list of things I haven't explored yet... I expect the young 'uns will be in to all that soon, if not already.

Games: Crime Story, Paradise Island, Angband, Trap!, Flying Chicks, Words Free, Angry Birds, Angry Birds Backup, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Seasons, Dope Wars, ThrottleCopter, Top Eleven, Air Control Lite, Alchemy, Checkers Free, CHess Free, Contract Killer, Fruit Slice, Hearts Free, Jewels, PLumber, Reversi Free, TapFish

Stuff: IMDB, QR Droid, ScanLife, Shazam

Camera etc: Flickroid, Camcard, JustPictures!, Night Vision Camera, Photo Illusion, Retro Camera

Stupid stuff: Lighter free, Whoopee Cushion

Utilities: Crashplan, Instant Heart Rate, NHS Direct, Spirit Level Plus, iPlayer, ESPNcricinfo, TuneIn Radio, Antivirus, Expensify, Linda Manager, 3g Watchdog, TeslaLED, Battery Indicator, XE Currency, Data Enabler, Advanced Task Killer Free, Ring Toggle, Amazon, Amazon Kindle, App 2 SD Free, Convert Pad, DiskUsage, Dropbox, Google Earth, eBay, Evernote, Firefox, Flickr Companion, Google Sky Map, Google+, GReader, LinkedIn, London Transport Status, MyBackup, ShopSavvy, Skype, Google Translate, TripAdvisor, Wordpress

Social: Facebook, Seesmic, Twitter, Tweetcaster (best of those last three)

I only use the inbuilt browser - I had Opera as well at some stage, but I can't stand it.Comment

Ring customer services for your operator - when my HTC Desire died, T-Mobile has a replacement couriered out to me the next day.Originally posted by fullyautomatix View PostIf you have Samsung Kies set up on the PC, it syncs the contacts, calendar with Microsoft Outlook.

I have had a Samsung Galaxy for 16 months and for past month or so it has started to just turn off when I use any app. Its okay if I use it to make calls and recieve calls. But any app usage causes it to shut down. This seems like a known issue with Samsung phones ( google screen of death ).

I am going to try a Nokia Lumia next, at least Nokia phones go on forever without the need to throw away after a year.

Nice list. I downloaded App 2 SD, which might come in handy when my SD card finally arrives, assuming it ever does. It's now officially the longest delayed item I've bought from Amazon. Notified as shipped on the 29th, 6 days ago.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostHere's my app list:

Well got MobileGo working eventually with Android 4.0.1. Had to download the USB driver from Samsung and install that as their version was too old plus it will only work in the USB port that I used originally but managed to backup all data, contacts exported to vCard (and CSV) format and imported into Gmail.
