    Well, Mr Patel, as I was trying to point out, there are no cheap foreign imports with that skillset - even though the mainframe market is resurgent.

    All the newbies want to do .NET and/or Java. None of them want to learn 'obsolete' or 'legacy' technologies - even though these are far more lucrative in the short to medium term. And short-term is long enough to give you the cash to move on to something better and more interesting.

    If these monkeys think they can make a living coding Java and C# for the next 30 years then good luck to 'em!

          Yes indeed, my missus was a bit of a SASer. She probably cant remember any SAS coding now though.

          She wrote all kinds of applications for analysing SMF records and cross-billing users/departments for their resource usage

          She does patchwork and quilting now.
