Everyone's doing it....

I suspect I wouldn't state it quite so baldly, initially. Although it is tempting to state specific filth requirements clearly up front, I think that might scare most off.

I like TM's idea about allowing CUK to filter applications. I sound f.kcing arrogant - not that I assume there would be loads to filter, like.

Feel free to PM me the details. :wink

Mate of mine whos single tends to troll internet dating sites. He basically acts like a twat and is upfront and forward with every single female he chats to on there.

95% of them ignore him thinking him to be a twat (he is) but a small percentage bite and hes well in for no strings shagging.

Sort out like chuck enough seeds out there, and some will flower!!!!

Seems to do quite well out of it. Personally, I dont think I'd rely too much on the quality (or cleanliness for that matter) of any respondents but he dont care!!!!!

....apparently.

Internet dating. I've discovered that most of my colleagues met either their current, or previous partners online.

I've begun to accept that I might have to dip my toe, instead of assuming it's not for me.

Any tips, you lot?

Yes, avoid. Go speed dating instead as it allows you to filter the nutter in 30 seconds and you get to meet lots more people quickly which helps with the childcare (and they're the same people on internet dating sites). If you do go for internet dating use the free sites as its the same people.

Get a mate to call you 20-30 mins into a date, it provides cover for bailing out if deemed necessary.

??? That old chestnut. Why just be honest with people...i.e. I'll have a drink and if you're not a nutter I'll stay for another. If you don't like say "Thanks, but your not my type" and leave. No need for cloak and dagger "oh your house in on fire" type calls - most people are clever enough to work out what you've done and its just the height of rudeness.

..and I just can't figure out when I will ever have time/opportunity for these 'dates'. I'm sure there are people who would babysit, but I could not fathom having the inclination to go on tons of dates with men who inevitably won't make me laugh.

How the HELL do people manage this?!

Usually because there is the promise of some sex at the end of it. As for first question speed dating its the answer.

1. Humour. Same as mine.
2. Grammar.
3. Filth.
4. DIY skills.
5. Nice neck.

End of priority requirements.

So basically your looking for the guy (and his chair) who George Clooney played Burn After Reading

First thing MP, you have to answer a few questions.

1. What first attracted you to the millionaire DimPrawn?

:)

I've done well out of it, I nearly always get a reply.

I've made a few friends, had a few lovers and had some pretty amusing conversations along the way

My only advise would be to be yourself, fakeness is so easy to spot

Can't be arsed reading the whole thread but a fair few of my friends have met their partners online but here's my summary of internet dating:

1) Woman always do better than men, they have the control and some women on there love to let you know it.

2) Pay sites are better than free ones, keeps the complete mental's away and those who are just looking to get their wick dipped

3) Be honest and be specific when writing your profile

4) Don't be too cautious, obviously make sure you play safe when meeting someone but don't be too cautious, if you meet someone in a bar you have to take some risks, its just the same online

5) Don't post on here the results unless you want the piss ripped outta you
