They moved that barrier further back after Button hit it, so maybe they'll have another go.Originally posted by TimberWolf View PostThe whole track looks dicey, but that barrier seems particularly deadly.
It didn't look all that hard an impact. The techno-armco (or whatever it was called) seemed to work and you could see how it absorbed the energy over time. Which often looks more dramatic but of course the more sudden the stop the more the damage to the squidgy human component. Kubica doing similar speeds nearly head on into a concrete wall in Montreal looked far worse. Will work inside IR35. Or for food.Comment

Thankfully it looks as if Perez is OK and only has concussion. I'd say there was no chance of him racing tomorrow though+50 Xeno Geek Points

If he has concussion that makes it sound unlikely. The clarity of thought and reaction times needed really don't sound like a good combination with concussion!

Perez won't be racing.
Hamilton is down in 9th on the grid. Most doubt he'd have got on the front row anyway, but that delay probably cost him several places. Especially as he decided to sit waiting in the pit lane for several minutes, letting his tyres go cold before going out for his last try.
I think the only man who can beat Vettel today is Vettel.Comment
