Training for 5K

Pah, anyone decent can do a marathon on 6 months training. I've been running since I was a nipper. My considered advice is just go and run around a bit until you can do it non-stop for half an hour.Comment

The main thing is not to start running to fast, and not to worry about your breathing unless you have asthma or some other disease.
If you want the correct running shoes for your pronation and the surface you run on then go to a proper running shop not the likes of JJB etc. They may put you on a treadmill and watch you run, or examine your feet and ask you loads of questions if you have been running before.

Thanks for all the advice, I am off out for a run now. See how far I can run before I need to walk.
