        Go on, try.

So they drop the PCs at yours, that's much better but really I'm surprised people will go for it.

I said this before, but am not getting through.

If you quantify the job first, make sure it won't take too long, ie operating system installs are out of the question, ram upgrade is perfect, then each job only takes a few minutes.

          6 jobs take around 1.5hrs.

6*£15 = 90, which is more than the £50 per hour you lot seem to think is reasonable.

That and I don't have to dot about all over the place like a blue arse fly. Customer drops PC off Friday night and collects Saturday lunch time.

Start at 8, and you're done by 10, plenty of time for the Zoo. And it's paid for.

          Really really HTH, BIDI.
Really WGAS what he earns at the weekend. I doubt very much he gets the £50 work and so does most of it for £15. I also doubt it takes two minutes. An extra £400/£500 per month is an extra £400/£500 per month.

If I work, staff or my partner work in the shop I charge it at £60 for the day. Yes. The day. I then make a choice whether I want the day off or work it.

He's got a wife and three kids to look after, good look to him I say, especially as I'm not giving any child support maintenance for them.

(Oh K2P2 - btw. Use Tesco vouchers to buy Merlin passes that way you can go to the Zoo anyday )

It is seemingly problematic to explain a simple business concept to all you "businessmen" and "businesswomen".

Obviously the much mocked (on here at least) £15 fix is for domestic customers only. Businesses pay full fare, and more for emergency callouts.

I think his analogy is you have three people, one wants his laptop fixed on Monday, one on Tuesday and one on Thursday. The fact that SY would have to factor in three trips and waste his evenings (which might not be free) when he could give the customer the idea that he is saving him money by saying if you bring it in on Saturday at 10 I'll only charge you £15 for it which now means that at 10am on a Saturday he's got three jobs which will bring in £45 for 15 minutes work (his timings) rather than bringing in £150 for three hours work.

I think the logic is sound.

If I could charge numpties £15 to bring their computer to my house and let me install some memory or a new HDD in it I probably would. Although I would try and charge a bit more cos I'm greedy.

It's the know it all mongwits who would put me off, although I suppose they are unlikely to call you in the first place.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

You need to explain it a bit better though SY. Don't forget, this is CUK, most of these ****ers need three attempts just to get their login name right.

At which point someone phones you and you reset it right?
