I'm part of a small minority that likes the original Blackadder.

The second, third and fourth series were even better though, with great stories and funny situations in all of them. Classic comedy

The Last Episode is IMHO one of the most poignant and moving things I have ever seen on TV.

They did the documentary on the whole Blackadder thing and discussed how that ending came about and how in "real speed" it was farcical but then someone left the video flicking over frame by frame and soon realised that "that was it" no matter what they did they couldn't improve on it!!

Anyone seen the un-aired pilot? It's out there, I've got a copy, not great quailty, like a copied VHS tape, and not a great show either.

It's basically Ep1 of Series 1 - but with a different Baldrick and John Savident instead of Brian Blessed. Also Edmund is more like Edmund from Blackadder II in look and style. No location shots either, all in studio.

Worth watching though, Blackadder fans!
