Yes; why do they get the flak when it's not as if the rest of the world's been governed by angels, and in fact, Germany's probably caused a lot less suffering than most other countries in the last 66 years.

Given the country was split into two, forbidden from participating in military activity or even having an offensive force and being very closely watched by the rest of the world, it was hardly surprising.

Using that defence is like saying prisoners on parole are better than people who have never been inside.
