Cyclists

5.00 star(s)
James Huntingdon, the MP for Falmouth East suggested a tax disc for cyclists... only to drop the idea when it was pointed out that some cars (sub 100g/km) are now exempt from road duty.

What a knob. :laugh

I was cycling along and was just about to get cut up by a car turning across in front of me when he emergency stopped.

I gave a cheery wave.

He shouted out of the window: "I'm in a car, you're on a bike. What you going to do about it?"

I said "I'll pray for you." Whereupon he started thumping his steering wheel. When he slowed a little I added: "and for your steering wheel too."

I smiled and carried on my way.

One should increase the joy and love in the world. All this hate is not good for you.

The next car that cuts me up when I'm on a bike, I'm going to let hit me - no so it hurts too much, but definitely a little.

Then I'm going to take the insurance company for 1000s.

I'm a cyclist, but I'm neither a poser cyclist with helmet, jersey and silly shorts, nor a "holier than thou" city centre commuter cyclist who feels justified in causing death and mayhem to all those around by making everything somebody else's responsibility (hard to believe the same people are Labour supporters). I just go out and cycle round the country lanes because I enjoy it and to get a bit of regular exercise. I can't understand why anybody wants to cycle on busy roads; I've even seen the odd cyclist on the A34 (a motorway in all but name), which is virtual suicide.

What really pi$$es me off are cyclists (usually the Lycra and DH helmet type) who insist on cycling along a road or duel carriageway when there is a perfectly good cycle path along side.

I love watching drivers behave like petulant kids, great sport.

Yeah they like to get close to intimidate you but that's nothing a D-Lock can't fix.
