Hence the bah humbug option, though the only upside if you can get bargains on champagne.Originally posted by pzz76077 View PostValentines - just another way for faceless businesses to make money from your emotions.

Difficult as SY02's parents are the only ones who babysit and it's also their anniversary.
There is a nice Indian restaurant I wanted to take SY02 to in Stopsley. If I can get sitters Saturday night then we can go 'early'.
If this is a question about what would I get SY02 then I can only say it would be 'worn underneath' and I don't want to talk about it.

This time last year I whisked the wife away for a long weekend in New York, had dinner at Morten's steak hose when we arrived...mmmmm steak."Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". Mark TwainComment

I'm in the Bah Humbug camp but Morten's would be nice (do they still 'explain' the food to you?).Originally posted by scooterscot View PostThis time last year I whisked the wife away for a long weekend in New York, had dinner at Morten's steak hose when we arrived...mmmmm steak.+50 Xeno Geek Points

Mr C doesn't 'do' Valentine's day - he calls in 'Hallmark's Day'.
I will however make a nice meal/buy the finest Indian takeaway and wear my bestest dress on Saturday...
